Carriers and shipping methods

Sol Sapphires ships all orders via fully insured and tracked courier services. We use FedEx for standard shipments, DHL upon client request for lower value shipments, and Malca-Amit or Brinks for high value shipments and large memo parcels. All shipments are declared at full value. We do not ship via uninsured or untracked methods.

Shipping costs

Shipping and insurance costs are calculated based on the destination, weight, and declared value of the shipment. Costs will be communicated to you prior to dispatch and added to your invoice. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Dispatch timeframe

Orders are typically dispatched within 2 to 3 business days of payment being received and confirmed. During periods of high volume or around trade shows, dispatch times may be slightly longer. We will communicate any delays promptly.

Shipping from Sri Lanka

For cutting to order commissions, stones may be shipped directly from our factory in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka. A flat shipping and insurance fee of $250 USD applies for direct factory shipments. Estimated dispatch timeframes will be confirmed at the time of order.

International shipping

We ship worldwide. Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Sol Sapphires is not responsible for any delays caused by customs clearance.

Insurance and liability

All shipments are fully insured for their declared value. Sol Sapphires is not responsible for any loss or damage once the shipment has been collected by the carrier. In the event of a lost or damaged shipment, we will assist you in filing a claim with the carrier.

Tracking

A tracking number will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

Memo shipments

Stones sent on memo are shipped under separate memo terms agreed between Sol Sapphires and the client. Standard shipping costs apply unless otherwise agreed.
